WELCOME!
LLANFAIRBRYN Welsh Mountain Pony Stud is conducted at Tonimbuk in Gippsland in Victoria, Australia, by Katherine Turnbull and her parents Anthony and Suellen Deane. One of the oldest Mountain Pony Studs in Australia, the Stud was founded in 1968 with the purchase of a filly from Fairway followed by four fillies from Nattai and three females from Yoorami which included a View Bank mare.
Then followed a filly from Trentlyn and mares from Bolaro, Acheron, Lenson Park and Lykanarro. The most influential female purchased by Llanfairbryn and the founder of our most successful and dominant line was the imported UK filly Crossways Foxy, a daughter of Coed Coch Shon and out of Foxhunter Titlark by Clan Pip.

We have always sourced Coed Coch and Twyford bloodlines to concentrate the blood of Coed Coch Glyndwr and his grandson Clan Pip and we continue to include as much of this blood as possible and to keep the imports up as close as we can.

Our Ponies are raised in large paddocks in a herd environment where they can socialise and gallop to develop heart, lungs and limbs and are well handled at weaning. In our breeding program we have always focused on type, temperament, agility and performance.
